Ken Layman serves as
the Youngstown State volleyball
trainer.
Layman, who is a Physical Therapist
in the Outpatient Rehabilitation
Department of Forum Health's
Hillside Rehabilitation Center, has
been with the Athletic Department on
a part-time basis since 1990.
During his tenure with the Penguins he has served as the
women's basketball trainer while
assisting all other sports. He took
over as the volleyball trainer in
2005.
Layman is licensed as a Certified Athletic Trainer and as a
Physical Therapist. He is also
certified as a Strength and
Conditioning Specialist, and as a
Personal Trainer by the National
Strength and Conditioning
Association.
He received his bachelor's degree from Ohio University.
