Guins Picked Fifth in Horizon League By Basketball Times |

Pinehurst,
N.C. -- The Youngstown State
men's basketball team has been
predicted to finish fifth in the
Horizon League according to a poll
in the November issue of Basketball
Times, the publication announced.
Regular-season defending champion Butler was picked as the
preseason favorite followed by
Wright State, Milwaukee and Green
Bay, respectively.

Youngstown -- Close to 150 guests joined the
Youngstown State men's and women's basketball teams at the Penguin Club's Annual
Tipoff Banquet on Sunday at the Beeghly Center.
Head Coaches Jerry Slocum and Cindy Martin, YSU President
Dr. David Sweet and Horizon League Commissioner Jon LeCrone were the program's

| Men's Basketball Addresses Local Media at Annual Media

Youngstown -- Youngstown State Head Coach Slocum, his
staff and the 2009-10 men's basketball team gathered on Dom Rosselli Court in
the Beeghly Center and addressed the local media for the prior to the 2009-10
season at the program's annual media on Oct. 20.
The Penguins open
the campaign at Sweet 16 participant
Xavier, Friday, Nov. 13.

| Limited Number of Tickets for
Games at Pitt, Xavier Available |

The Youngstown State
Athletic Department Ticket office has a limited number of tickets
available for the YSU men’s basketball games at Xavier on Nov. 13 and at
Pittsburgh on Nov. 28 for Penguin Club members and basketball
season-ticket holders. They will go on sale beginning Monday, Nov. 2.
Tickets are only available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Indianapolis, Ind. -- The Youngstown State men's
basketball team has been predicted to finish seventh in the Horizon League in a
preseason poll by the league's head coaches, sports information directors and
selected media, the circuit announced on Tuesday.
The
