Stats

Youngstown -- Senior Jodi Bowlen scored her first goal of the season and classmate Mariah Snyder set the YSU career shutouts record as the Youngstown State soccer team defeated Cleveland State, 1-0, on Senior Day on Sunday afternoon at Stambaugh Stadium.

Senior Jodi Bowlen scored her first goal of the season to lift the Penguins to a 1-0 win over Cleveland State on Senior Day.
The Penguins improve to 4-10-3 overall and 1-6-1 in the Horizon League while Cleveland State falls to 3-14-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the league.

After a scoreless first half, Bowlen notched her first goal since 2008 with 26 minutes left in the game. Bowlen was in the right spot at the right time punching a shot through the Viking defense after Kara Cooper's shot ricocheted off the post right to Bowlen's feet.

Snyder tallied four saves, including three in the second half, to record her second save of the season and the seventh of her career.
